Calke Abbey

We had a lovely day out today at Calke Abbey in Derbyshire.

We had an English Cream Tea (shared!)

We went all around the old house, Harriet really enjoyed looking at the paintings. We did a scarecrow hunt in the gardens. We went through the underground tunnels, and looked at the church.

Then had more tea and cake (shared again!!)

We visited a play ground at Staunton Harold

And played lots!

Then we met Jon at his office (nearby), had a tour - which Harriet thought was cool and then went out for a meal at the Ferrers Arms.

A lovely day all round, Harriet said she would do every bit of it again and I would too. Not a cross word all day - perfect!
